You press the ML-元 (remote control) from the back of your D70, after a few continuous shoots. Very easy to duplicate when using Nikon AF-S 300 F4 +TC-17E2 and ML-元. no luck, at the end, I pressed the shutter for a while and shutter fired a few shoots and problem disappear.Ģ.

same problem, change a new full charged Nikon battery. First enountered using Nikon AFS-18-70 lens with all orginal accessories: Err after format a Sandisk U2 1GB CF, then I change to another new Sandisk U2 1GB CF. I always have 2 orginal Nikon batteries and one CR2 battery pack with me, using Nikon orginal lens.ġ. TL DR people are telling me if my 60D has somewhere around 20,000 shutter actuations it's at death's door.Yes, I had this similar problem a few times. Is this an dSLR issue? Because when I was younger and working in film, we used cameras that were ten, twenty, thirty years old and operating just fine (except maybe for having to seal the backs with duck tape to prevent light leaks). But I didn't think that 20k actuations was all that much for a prosumer level camera, and I know pros who've pushed their 60Ds way farther before needing a shutter repair or encountered any issues. It isn't even that people are trying to talk me down on price, they just say something along the lines of "I don't want to buy a dying camera" and move on.

Keep in mind that I don't think I'm asking all that much for it, $550 for the 60D & a 6 month old Canon 50mm f1.8, or $700 for that plus a Speedlight 430EX. Based on my usage and my estimates of his, the most I can possibly imagine this camera having is 20k (keep in mind that I uses mirror-lock-up a good bit, which can inflate the count).Įvery buyer has been put off by this, saying that that puts the camera near the end of its life, or at least the shutter's life. I'm the second owner, but the first had it for only a few months. Unfortunately, I can't find a shutter count program for the Mac that works with my camera (only one I found didn't work). I'm selling off my Canon 60D set up to pay for the switch to mirrorless, and every buyer wants to know what the shutter count on my 60D is.
